Gorgeous warm winter weather, good food and over a million dollars worth of classic cars to gawk at in our humble carpark. All to raise funds for our charity PHM Health Australia, going towards a sensory room for kids with autism. That was our “Classic Car-B-Que” on Sunday 12 June.
A big thank you to those who came and those who helped, including some of our participants, the owners of those sensational cars, staff and friends of PHM Health. And a super big thank you to Con Staveris, our Partnership Manager, who organised the day.
Sensory rooms are flexible spaces, which are specifically designed to have a calming effect that reduces anxiety and improves focus for children on the autism spectrum. (Note: the sensory room that our charity builds may vary from the stock examples shown).
